Tollin, Bruce Byron (28 OCT 1956 - 9 MAY 2014)
Bruce Byron Tollin, 57, of Withee, passed away at the Memorial Nursing and Rehab
Center in Medford on Friday, May 9, 2014, with his family by his side. There
will be services held at a later date.
Bruce was born October 8, 1956, at the Swedish American Hospital in Belvidere,
Ill., to Carl and B. Carol (Hall) Tollin. He attended public school in Colby and
was a 1975 graduate of Colby High School. After graduation, Bruce worked at
Weather Shield in Medford, TKNW Hardwoods in Dorchester and was a janitor for
the Medford Area Senior High School.
Bruce also owned the Office Bar in Colby and Miracle Campers in Abbotsford. He
also drove truck and fixed small engines in his shop at his house.
Bruce was a retired member of the Free Spirit Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed
hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his children and
grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his daughters, Melissa Tollin of Colby and Kristy (Adam)
Strey of Unity; grandchildren, Maeghan Weiler, Alexander Best, Brandon Weiler,
Hayden Kops, Tyler Geiger, Ava Strey, Emma Strey and Archie Strey. He is further
survived by a brother, David (Charlotte) Tollin of Roscoe, Ill.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
