Fatal Accident Near Athens
J. H. Sandwick of Gattinger, Palo Alto County, Ill., was struck on the head by a
falling limb of a tree and instantly killed last Thursday while riding over the
Upham Branch on a hand car.
Mr. Sandwick, in company with several other gentlemen, has been out with Chas.
Thorpe of Medford, secretary for the Rib River Land Company looking over the
company’s land with a view to make an investment.
