Rieder, Ernest (28 September 1893 - 9 June 1972)

Services for a former area resident Ernest Rieder, 78 of Rockford, Il. were held Tuesday, June 13, at 10 a.m. from the Delehanty Funeral Home at loves Park, Il. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Garden at Rockford. Mr. Rieder died Friday evening in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Rieder, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rieder, was born September 28, 1893, in New Glarus. His marriage to the former Chloy Bryner took place February 11, 1915, in Neillsville. The Rieders moved to Rockford 28 years ago from Fairchild. He was employed for several years at the J. I. Case Company.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Wilkens of Rockford; a son, Donald Rieder of Monrovia, Ca; a sister, Mrs. Emma Laffe of Augusta; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
