Munson, Lawrence H. (27 JUN 1890 - 15 SEP 1966)
Lawrence H. Munson, 78, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died of a stroke at 1 p.m.
Thursday in Stanley Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three
weeks.
Mr. Munson was born June 27, 1890, at Fort Smith, Ark., and came to Wisconsin in
1903 and settled near Withee. His marriage to Ida Funk took place June 16, 1917,
at Withee.
After their marriage, the couple farmed in the town of Hixon until several years
ago when they moved to the village of Withee. Mr. Munson had been an insurance
agent for 29 years. He also served as clerk in the town of Hixton for several
years, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Owen.
In addition to his wife, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Softer,
Withee; a brother, Sam Munson, Withee; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo Reese, Marshfield;
and Mrs. A.C. (Mildred) Holmes, Duluth, Minn.; and two grandchildren.
