Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, July 13, at the Hansen Funeral Chapel in Marshfield, for Mrs. William (Mabel) Wepfer, who died Saturday, July 10, at Decatur, Ill. Forrest McPherson and Charles Mattison officiated, and interment was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery.
Casket bearers were Bert Pearson, Dwight Balow, Arvid Carlson, Walter Brunner, George Topinka and Adolph Wolske.
Miss Bertha Magram, Miss Ann Topinka and Arthur Topinka sang “I’m Satisfied in Jesus Now”, “Abide With Me” and “A Little While”. They were accompanied at the organ by Miss Lavina Swenson.
Among those attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brockhaus, Peter and Paul, Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Klepzig, Doyle and Dennis, Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Harold Wepfer and Mrs. Myron Wepfer and family, Abbotsford, Mrs. Gordon Hatton and Miss Ruth Stoltzman of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. James Piazza and family, Carpentersville, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Schroeder, Evanston, Ill., other relatives and friends from Madison, Milwaukee, Wausau, Marshfield, and surrounding areas.
