Downer, Hulda (27 December 1908 - 12 June 1972)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ted (Hulda) Downer, 63, of Neillsville, who died June
12, were held Thursday, June 15, at 2 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in
Granton. The Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiated and
burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.
Mrs. Downer, the former Hulda Henze was born December 27, 1908, at Plymouth. She
was educated in Granton schools. Her marriage to Ted downer took place October
10, 1932, at Winona, Mn. The Downers lived on a farm in the Town of York
until1969 when they moved to Neillsville.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Jack Downer of Milwaukee;
one grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Neva Davis of Stevens Point and Mrs. Leo
Grassman of Hollywood, Fl.
Pallbearers were: Elmer Elmhorst, Durward Schwarze, Donald Gall, Emil Henninger,
Victor Braatz and Joe Pernsteiner, Jr. Mrs. Lee Garbisch was the organist.
