Drachenberg, Mary Anne (Marriage - 10 June 1972)
Miss Mary Anne Drachenberg became the bride of Eric James Mortvedt in a double
-ring ceremony performed Saturday afternoon, June 10, at St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church, Stratford, by the Rev. Cletus Abts. A reception was held at the knights
of Columbus Hall in Marshfield.
The newlyweds were given in marriage by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
Drachenberg of Stratford and Mr. and Mrs. Verne Mortvedt, Sr., of Rt. 1 Chili.
The bride’s princess-style gown of nylon organza over peau de soi featured
bishop sleeves and re-embroidered Alencon lace trim. She carried a cascade of
white daisies, lavender-tinted roses and baby’s breath and foliage.
Maid-of-honor was Miss Dawn Telschow, of Edgar. Miss Lucy Castro, AFS student
from El Salvador, Miss Joan Brown of Stratford and the groom’s sister, Mrs.
Kenneth Berger of Aurora, Il; were the bridesmaids. Their floor-length gowns
were styled of daisy-flocked organdy. Each carried a nosegay bouquet of mixed
flowers.
Verne Mortvedt, Jr., presently home on leave from duty in Germany with the armed
forces, served as his brother’s bestman. (Apparently the rest of the wedding
write-up is missing).
