Bauer, Paul (28 Sept 1896 - 13 June 1968)

Paul O. Bauer, 71, Loyal, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville of heart attack.

Services were held Tuesday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with the Rev. Norbert E. King officiating and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers were all grandsons; Gary Braun, James Rueth, Dennis and Thomas Bauer and Gerald and Duane Johnson.

Mr. Bauer was born on September 28, 1896 at Loyal. On June 27, 1922 he married Lorene Hubling at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. They farmed in the town of Loyal until 1957 when he retired and moved to the city of Loyal. The past eight years he was employed part time by the city of Loyal.

Mr. Bauer served as supervisor for the town of Loyal and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Johnson, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Bernard (Margie Rueth, Loyal; and Mrs. Vincent (Doris) Braun, Spencer; four sons, Robert, Harvey and Richard, Greenwood; and James, Marshfield. Four brothers, Oscar, Spencer; Roland, Loyal; Edwin, Marshfield and Lawrence, Montana; four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Irene) Froeba, Marshfield; Mrs. Loretta Froeba, Loyal; Mrs. Rosililand Renz, and Mrs. Roman (Martina) Renz, Jefferson and thirty-five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and sister.
