Miss Jill Lyn Schmidt, Wildwood Trailer Court, Marshfield and Harold R.
Grossbier, Auburndale exchanged vows at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Loyal,
with The Very Rev. Norbert E. King officiating at the 1 p.m. ceremony on July
20.
White glads and pink peonies adorned the altar. Michael Tucker was the organist
and the Children's Choir sang.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt, route 2, Loyal and Mrs.
Alma Grossbier, Auburndale and the late Anthony Grossbier.
The bride given in marriage by her father was seen in a floor length lace and
nylon gown featuring a lace and sequin trimmed watteau train. The bouffant veil
of illusion was secured to a tiara of pearl, lace and crystal and carried an
arrangement of American beauty and white roses.
Miss Jean Schmidt, Loyal, was the maid of honor; Miss June Schmidt, Loyal; Miss
Mary Grossbier, Stevens Point; Miss Carol Hinklmann, Loyal; and Mrs. Dennis
(Rose) Skibba, River Falls were the aides.
The aides were seen in turquoise floor-length dresses of lace and chiffon over
taffeta with matching floral cluster headpieces with pouf veils. They each
carried a cascade arrangement of white and turquoise carnations.
Jerry Schmidt, brother of the bride and David Walter, cousin of the bride served
as altar boys.
James Grossbier, Monona, served as best man, Jack Schmidt, Loyal, Don Cutler,
New London; Dennis Skibba, River Falls; and James Schmidt, Loyal were groomsmen.
Ralph Grossbier, Auburndale and Mike Paul, Chili performed the ushering duties.
Wedding day events included a reception supper and dance at the Eagles Hall in
Marshfield.
The bride is a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School and also attended Eau Clairw
Vocational School. She is employed by the Marshfield Clinic.
The groom is a 1964 graduate of Auburndale High School and a 1968 graduate of
Wisconsin State University-River Falls. He will teach at Auburndale.
Following a Canadian honeymoon the couple will make their home in Auburndale.
