Schesel, Robert H. (Promoted - SEP 1966)
Robert H. Schesel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schesel Sr., route 3, Thorp (Clark
Co.), Wis., was promoted to Army Specialist Four, whil serving with sixty U.S.
Army Special Troops in Presidio of San Francisco, Calif.
Specialist Four is an enlisted rank equivalent to the ranks of Corporal.
The 21 year old soldier entered the Army in Sept. 1965. He completed basic
training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and was assigned to the Printing department
at San Francisco, Calif. On Aug. 30, 1966, he flew to Kimpo, Korea.
Robert is a 1963 graduate of Thorp High School and was employed with the Thorp
Finance Corp at the main office before entering the Army.
