Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Knudsen last week were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Stone
and family of Fayard, Ia, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Knudsen of Coon Rapids, Ia, Mr.
and Mrs. Lars Johnson of Audubon, Ia, Miss Wanda Knudsen of Wausau, Robert Kieke
of Houston, Tx, who is staying at the Knudsen home for the summer, and Mr. and
Mrs. Jerry Johnson of Houston, Tx.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Winecke of Chicago are visiting Mrs. Louise Bukovec, Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Bukovec, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bukovec and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Sylvian Krultz and family.
Mrs. Chris Bayuk of La Crosse spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk.
Miss Mary Ellen Bayuk of La Crosse spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. William Bayuk.
Mrs. Duane Pozega and Sheila and Mrs. Theodore Kopp, Sr., of Neillsville spent a
day at the Frank Pozega, Sr., home.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Murphy and Sheila of Herscher, Il, spent the weekend with Mrs.
Anna Herrick and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Noah.
Charles Herrick came home last week from the Veteran’s hospital in Madison where
he was a surgical patient.
Mrs. Robert Herrick is home from Memorial Hospital at Neillsville where she had
been a surgical patient.
Mr and Mrs. Charles Briner of North Chicago, Il, visited recently with Mrs.
Louise Bukovec, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvian Krultz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Bukovec and family and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bukovec.
Mr. and Mrs. William Gradisher and children of Westchester, Il, spent the
weekend at their summer cottage and also visited Mrs. Dora Fortuna.
Mrs. Anna Richter, Mrs. Caroline Klancher and son, James, and Joseph Godec of
Milwaukee were recent visitors at Rock Dam and with relatives and friends.
Donnie, Cynthia and Carol Plautz of Greenwood spent several days with their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Plautz
were here and the children returned home.
John Govek of Medford and Jayne Selner of Antigo, were weekend guest of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Govek and family.
Tony Gosar, Sr., was admitted to a Marshfield Hospital last week.
Marilyn Saule was admitted to the Neillsville Memorial Hospital recently.
The following from here helped Louis Zorman celebrate his 80th birthday at the
home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Zorman in Marshfield last
Satruday night: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krapf, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zorman, Mr.
and Mrs. Rudy Zorman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zorman and children and
Mrs. Louis Zorman. A birthday cake centered the table. Games and a lunch were
enjoyed by all.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miller of Marquette Mi, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Halbrader and family. They left later for Colfax.
George Radke, George Vanert, William Volovsek, Vic Halbrader, Joe Wolk, Reuben
Baltus, Floyd Baltus and Sylvester Baltus are back from a week’s fishing trip in
Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Telkes and children of Chicago visited Mrs. Louis Champa, and
with Mr. Champa at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. Mr. Telkes left on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waldburger of Merrill spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Thurman Craig and family.
Wednesday night Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Willis and family of Minot, N. D. stopped to
visit Mr. and Mr. Thurman Craig and family.
