Lawrence A. Smith, 90, Owen, formally of Loyal, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, at th Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept.10, at the Loyal City Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate,
Lawrence Adolph Smith was born July 7, 1915, in the town of Beaver, to Henry and Eda (nee Johnson) Smith. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Beaver Center School. He lived on the family farm until his mother’s death in 1963. He then moved to Greenwood and lived at the Black River Apartments. He later moved to Neillsville for a short time before entering the Clark County Health Care Center in November of 2002.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith, Greenwood.
