Lucy W. Annis was born December 2, 1806 in Bath, Grafton Co., NH and died July 7, 1881in Loyd, Richland Co., Wisconsin.  She was the daughter of Moses and the granddaughter of Daniel and Catherine (Thomas) Annis (1 Dec 1711 - 1790, Warner, NH). Her mother's name was Polly.  Lucy and Joseph married March 22, 1829 in Albany, Orange Co., Vermont.  Joseph was born February 1811, the son of Edward Marden, Jr. and Elizabeth Annis (1784  1846).  Eight of the sons of Joseph and Lucy served in the Civil War. Joseph died January 7, 1901 in Loyd, Richland Co., Wisconsin.
