Colby, Wis. High CLASS OF 1942 HAS 55-YEAR REUNION AT VFW HALL
The 1942 class of graduates of Colby, Wis. High School held its 55th class reunion on Sept. 20, 1977, at the VFW Hall in Colby with 21 classmates and spouses attending. Registrations and social hour were followed by a catered dinner. A candle was lit and a moment of silence was held for deceased members. A program followed with Galen Comeaux as MC. The reunion committee included Galen Comeaux, Marie (Beyerl) Waldhart, and Emanuel Firnstahl.
Members of the class attending the reunion were William and Ednia Brill, Fairfax, Va.; Dolores (Beyerl) Jacobs, Marshfield; Marie (Beyerl) Waldhart, Stetsonville; Galen Comeaux, Fond du Lac; Arvin and Elsie Dommer, Colby; Arva (Duval) Fischer, Unity; Emanuel and Mary Firnstahl, Colby; Mary (Frane) and Lewis Hildebrand, Haines City, Fla.; Marjorie (Gries) Youst, Spencer.
Bud Hardrath, Roswell, Ga.; Bernice (Kobs) and Walter Rosselet, Milwaukee; Frances (Kunze) Angelich, Abbotsford; Sara (Nelson) Maes and Tony Levra, Greenfield; Mary (Ovans) and Karl Ewan, Rhinelander; Hildegard (Prange) Augustine, Colby; Dorothy (Riley) Fuller, Wisconsin Rapids; Floyd (Doc) Scheel and Josephine ("Jo") Scheel, Madison; Lyle and Lori Stall, Orfordville; Dave and Joyce Stieber, Wausau; Patricia (Weix) Carpenter, Colby; and Ralph and Arlene Will, Colby.
The members of the class voted to have another reunion in three years. Members of the committee are Marjorie Youst, Dolores Jacobs and Ralph Will.
