Albert E Zank, age 88, of Neillsville, died Thursday, Feb. 6, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Albert E Zank was born Oct. 11, 1914 in Neillsville, the son of Otto and Anna (Dux) Zank. Albert received his education in Neillsville schools. He married Hazel Schlegelmilch on June 1, 1941, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis.
He worked for the Clark County Highway Department, then after his marriage, he was employed at Western Condensing in Appleton. In 1950 he purchased the farm in Christie and retired from farming in 1980. He continued to reside on the farm until the time of his death.
Surviving Albert is his wife Hazel; children, Carl (Donna) of Neillsville, Carol (Jeff) Clark of Detroit, MI, and LaVerne (Roger) Kadolph of Loyal; nephew, Harold (Tina) Zank of Kinsmen, OH; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Arthur, Paul, Louis and Fritz.
A private family service was held Monday, Feb. 10th at Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville and burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Rev. Timothy Biebert officiated. Family members served as pallbearers.
