Obit: Theel, William (1862 - 1944)
William Theel Passes Away (Father-in-law of Henry LuButzke
William Theel, aged 82, passed away on Saturday morning at the Memorial
hospital in Sheboygan, after having been confined there since May 24th.
The deceased was born in Germany on November 6, 1862, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. William Theel. He came to this country in 1868 with his parents,
and they immediately settled on a farm near Louis Corners, the place
which is now owned by John Theel.
He was married to Miss Anna Voss on November 22, 1888, and they settled
on the Theel homestead, where they resided until 1915, when they moved
to this city.
Survivors are his wife and eight children: William and Mrs. Herbert
(Erna) Tolksdorf of Milwaukee; John of Louis Corners; Mrs. Armie (Frieda)
Voigt of the town of Schleswig; Mrs.
Henry (Amanda Theel) LaButzke and Mrs.
Herman (Annie) Bolle of Sheboygan; Mrs. Ida Koeppe of Waupun, and Mrs.
Walter (Hattie) Gruett of Thiensville. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren
and 12 great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Ernestina Reseburg, resides
in California.
Funeral services were held this Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the
Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 2 o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran church,
with the Rev. H. O. Grunwald officiating. Burial was made in the Union
cemetery near Louis Corners. *Buried in the Union Cemetery

Henry W. LaButzke Henry W. LaButzke, 66, of 2002 N. 30th St., Milwaukee, a former resident of Sheboygan, died Saturday in Milwaukee. He was the father of Mrs. Paul S. Ochs of 1533 N. 13th St. Prior to leaving Sheboygan in 1943. Mr. LaButzke was employed as a fireman at the Kohler Co. He worked at the Cutler- Hammer Co. Inc. in Milwaukee at the time of his retirement two years ago.
Survivors are his wife, Amanda: two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Mattes, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Beatrice Ochs, Sheboygan: five grandchildren, and a brother, Arthur, of Bonduel. Wis. A son, Ruben, preceded him in death in 1945.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Feerick Funeral Home, 4620 W. North Ave., Milwaukee. Cremation will follow at Valhalla. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until 10 o'clock tonight.

Pfc. LaButzke Killed April 7, 1945
Pfc. Ruben A. LaButzke, 21 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. LaButzke of
Kiel, was killed in Germany on April 7, 1945. The War department revealed the
news of His death in a telegram to his parents.
A paratrooper, Pfc LaButzke was in the armed service since April, J 943. After
volunteering for duty in the paratroopers he was sent to Camp Mackall, N. C. and
Fort Benning, Ga., for training. He received his paratrooper boots and wings at
the latter camp.
Overseas since October, 1944, he was stationed in England for a short time and
then entered cobat at Luxembourg and continuing on to France, Belgium and
Germany.
Survivors include his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Norman Mattes of Sheboygan and
Mrs. Paul Oches of Kiel.
