Kenneth Strebing, age 74, a former Neillsville area resident, passed away in his Harrison, Arkansas home on Monday, June 23, 1980.
Funeral services were to be held this Thursday, June 26, at 2:00 p.m. from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. The Rev. Gary L. Clark of the United Church of Christ is to officiate. Burial is to be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. (The body was to lie in state on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Thursday morning until time of services.)
Mr. Strebing was born July 27, 1905 at Lyons, Illinois, to August and Esther (Hewett) Strebing. As a young boy, he moved with his parents to Clark County, where he received his education. He farmed in the Town of Levis for several years and then moved to Chicago where he worked for several more years. He later returned to Neillsville and worked for Weyerhauser Co. in Marshfield until his retirement. Eight years ago, he moved to Arkansas where he resided until his death.
Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Florence Spaete, Neillsville, and Mrs. James (Evelyn) Gillis, Falls Church, VA, and a brother, Raymond Strebing, Utica, N.Y. Preceding him in death, were his parents, two sisters, Hazel and Mildred Struensee and two brothers, Howard and Clarence.

Strebing, Kenneth (27 July 1905 – 23 June 1980)
Funeral services were held June 26 from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville
for Kenneth Strebing, 74, who passed away in Arkansas on June 23.
Lori Anding offered special vocal selections, accompanied by Deon Spangler.
The Rev. Gary Clark of the Neillsville United Church of Christ officiated, with
burial made in the city cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Ernest Horehled,
Robert Sebesta, Kenneth Kren, Bill Matousek, Herron Van Gorden and Frankie
Wendell.
