Sommer, Robert (1809? - 27 MAY 1895)
Robert Sommer of Medford, died suddenly at the home of his father-in-law, Wm. Zibell, in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Monday evening.
The deceased was about 86 years of age, was employed in the Shaw tannery at Medford, but for some six weeks had been in poor health and growing gradually worse. The physicians there not seeming to help him, his father-in-law wrote him to come here, which he did, coming Monday evening accompanied by his wife and child. He walked from the train to the house, about two blocks, entered the house, sat down and instantly expired. Heart failure was the cause attributed. The remains were taken to Medford, Tuesday morning, for interment.
