Married, at the residence of Dr. D. R. Freeman in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), May 26th, 1895, Mr. Fred M. Jackson of Monroe, Wis., and Miss Claudia E. Freeman, Presiding Elder A. J. Davis officiating.
The above announcement was a complete surprise to many, yet there were some who knew of the matter that were not so much surprised and had long wished to be able to offer congratulations.
The cause of the ceremony being kept secret was that it occurred sooner than was first planned on account of the presence of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Nichols, of Manistee, Mich.
