Julius J. Jaeger, Sr. (25 Nov 1862 - 20 Jan 1927)

Death came very suddenly to Mr. Julius J. Jaeger Sr., an esteemed and respected resident of Cedarburg. He died on Thursday evening, January 20, at 8 o'clock of a heart stroke after an hour's illness. Deceased was born in Germany on November 25, 1862, and came here with his parents in 1865 when he was a lad of three years. They came to Cedarburg where he has always resided. He was married to Mathilda Gage on Feb. 17, 1882. Ten children were born to them of whom five survive.

Mr. Jaeger was an honest, industrious man, a kind husband and father, and a man whose friendship one cherished. He had been in good health always, but grief over the death of his son, Ewald, several weeks ago was so great that he seemed never to be the same man since then. He leaves his wife, four sons, Arthur, Irwin, Alvin and Julius Jr. and one daughter, Mrs. Ella Schultz. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from the residence to Immanuel church with interment in Cedarburg cemetery. Rev. W. H. Berhens conducted the last sad rites.
