Roxanne M. Hinker, 43, Greenwood, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 9 to 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Follmar will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Hinker, Dustin Hinker, Jamie Hinker, Kade Hinker, Hayden Hinker, Kole Hinker, Jonah Hinker and Xander Hinker.
Roxanne Marie Hinker was born on March 26, 1962, in Marshfield, to Jerome and Marlene (nee Loos) Hinker. She attended school in Greenwood and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1981. She worked at various places including Figi’s and Fiskars, then as a CAN at the Neillsville Memorial Home for nine years and at Marshfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for six years. She was employed there until November 2002, when health problems prevented her from working. She then moved to the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, where she resided until she entered the hospital. She loved all sports, especially softball, the Green Bay Packers, and was a committed fan to her nephews in their various sports. She was an avid crocheter and had many, many beautiful creations. She also enjoyed playing cribbage and bingo. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood.
She will be sadly missed by her mother, Marlene Hinker, Greenwoon; her siblings, Randy (Gina) Hinker, Greenwood, David (Judy) Hinker, Greenwood, Dean Hinker, Greenwood, Kevin Hinker, Oregon, and Kent (Wendy) Hinker, Greenwood; 13 nieces and nephews, Derek Hinker, Dustin Hinker, Jamie Hinker, Kade Hinker, Hayden Hinker, Kole Hinker, Jonah Hinker and Xander Hinker; special friends, Kris Hinker and Debbie Hinker, many aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, Jerome, on Oct. 29, 2002; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
