Pogodizinski, Stanley J. (19 SEP 1932 - 6 NOV 2005)

Stanley J. Pogodzinski, 73, Thorp, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Center, Marshfield. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley. The Rev. Robert Nelson officiated. Burial was at the parish cemetery. Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Stanley J. Pogodzinski was born in the town of Thorp, on Sept. 19, 1932, to John and Rose (nee Krystofiak) Pogodzinski. He grew up in the area attending schools and graduating from Thorp High School. He married Mary Seichter in September 1956. They later divorced. He served in the U. S. Army from 1956-1958, in Germany. After discharge, he returned to the town of Thorp, where he farmed until forced to retire due to a farm accident. He enjoyed football, especially the Packers, and spending time with his children.

Survivors include his children, Sue (Troy) Kalis, Wells, Minn., Eugene (Michele) Pogodzinski, Thorp, Jeri-Ann (special friend Roger Ausman) Anderson, Eau Claire, Ken (Brenda) Pogodzinski, Withee, Chris (Jack) Wissell, Willard, Jim (Lyn) Pogodzinski, Thorp; 12 grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
