Sol Johnson, O. Nettleton and Wm. Poppe found a large swarm of bees in the woods the other day and relieved them of thirty-eight quarts of excellent honey which they had deposited in a hollow tree.

E. W. Gifford, Stanley's excellent landlord, transacted business in this village on Tuesday and also made the COURIER a welcome call. Mr. Gifford reports considerable sickness in the vicinity of Stanley.
