Supervisor John Smart, of this town and Ch'n., Thos. Dunn, of the town of Withee, are attending the special meeting of the county board at Neillsville this week.
Assessors M. McCaffery, of Thorp and C. C. Clark, of Withee, are finishing up their labors this week. The town boards will meet for equalization on Monday next.
Joe Plecity, who resides three-quarters of a mile north of the village, has a fine full blood Durham bull for service during the season. All wishing to improve their stock are requested to give Joe a call. Terms $1.00 cash.
Some whelp out of jail put a bullet through a hog in Wm. Maddux's slaughter house pen on Saturday last, killing it instantly. A liberal reward will be paid for information as to who committed the cowardly act.
