R. Warden has sold his ox-team, and purchased a span of horses. He bought the latter at Spencer.
Mrs. S. Collins of Thorp, visited with the family of Peter Peterson on Sunday and Monday.
Jas. Jordan, R. Warden, P. Smith and Cline Cradle, invested in cows last week. Look out now for "Observer's" cheese factory.
At the request of the Proprietors Ole Peterson has resigned his position in Bye and Co's mill, and is now handling the lining bar and shovel on the railroad again.
Hey, diddle, diddle, the cats in the fiddle: and Jim Jordan, he's having fun; Telling all the good folks, and their friends how he caught Bill Warner, stealing plumbs. Yes, Bill's reputation is ruined all because he didn't know any better than to take plumbs out of a man's orchard in broad daylight.
The school is District No. 2 has a regular attendance of 27 scholars. District 3 has 0.
The job of building a new schoolhouse is District No. 2 will be let ?, at the schoolhouse in said District, next Saturday at 9 A.M.
There will be a match game of ball, between boy's nine's of this place and Thorp, next Sunday p.m.
Three bears crossed the railroad, between S. S. Warner's residence and the bridge one day last week.
