A man named James Yeaekey slipped on the sidewalk near Mosher's corner on Thursday of last week breaking his left leg below the knee. He was taken to his home near Eau Claire on Saturday.
Caesar Barth gave a very enjoyable party at his residence five miles south of the village on Sunday evening last. This being leap year Caesar says his chances for "splicing up" are much improved.
An exchange very truthfully remarks that it is extremely difficult for a newspaper to build up a town when the town does nothing to build up a newspaper. Every boast made by a newspaper that business is booming, when it has but little advertising to speak of brands it as a prevaricator.
