Switlick Family

At the first spring election of April 6, 1880, which was held at the Poniatowski Court House in the newly organized Town of Rietbrock, sixty-seven voters went to the polls to vote. It was then that Adam Switlick was elected to be the first Treasurer of the Town of Rietbrock.

He and his wife Pauline and their ten children had first settled where Charles and Patricia Berg now live. The only present survivor from the ten children is Hedwig Switlick, who lives in Chicago, Illinois. Information obtained - Adam was to have lived well over one hundred years.
