Fred Reitz, the Neillsville merchant tailor, was in town on Friday last. Mr. Reitz is a snorting republican, but not a candidate for office as has been reported.
Dr. Chas. McCutcheon and wife, of Boyd, have been spending several days with Dr. W. R. in this village, during this week. They leave today for Washington Territory via the C. P Ry.
Wm. Kurtz will give a dance at his hall on Saturday evening, Sept. 1st. Carpentors are busy ceiling up the interior of the hall, which will be finished throughout before that date.
Mrs. James Crothers, of Big Springs, mother of Mrs. E. R. Wiley and Geo. Crothers, accompanied Mr. Wiley on his return home on Saturday last and will visit here for a couple of weeks.
A concert will be given at Sargent's Hall to-morrow (Saturday) evening, by the Ladies' Quartette Club, of Neillsville, assisted by Prof. Whitcomb's orchestra. Admission 25 cts. Reserved seats, 35 cts.
Tim Warner struck out for the South Fork on Tuesday, where he will spend the remainder of the summer, working on the bottoms for Mike Denny.
Otto Warner accompanied his brother Omer, to Poynett, last week.
