Naturalization Papers Issued to Seventeen Persons in County

The Spring term of Clark County Circuit Court opened at Neillsville on Monday, May 6, with Judge E. W. Crosby, of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, presiding. By a special order, Monday, May 6, had been set as Naturalization Day, and at 9:00 a.m. Jusge Crosby called a session to order and issued citizenship papers to 17 persons. C.R. Berg, United States Naturalization examiner of St. Paul, conducted the examination. Of the persons admitted to citizenship, nine were from Poland; five from Yugo-Slavia; one from Germany; one from Denmark; and one from Canada.

The following is a list of the new citizens who were presented with American flafs by the Neillsville relief Corp: Nels John Anderson, Owen; Matt Briski, Greenwood, route 2; Katharin Zogar Briski, Greenwood, route 2; Anna Frankiewocz, Thorp, route 4; Adoph Frankie! wicz, Thorp, route 4; Mike Cernge, Willard; Frandk Cernge, Willard; John Pogodzinski, Thorp, route 2; Anton Jake, Thorp, route 2; Henry Gonschorek, Greenwood, route 2; John Zielinski, Withee, route 2; Theodore S. Slowiak, Stanley, route 2; Edward Fahey, Greenwood; Frank Gasha, Thorp, route 2; Andro Ciura, Stanley, route 4; Tomasz Przwara, Stanley, route 4; and Frank Lavrika, Willard, route 1.
