Yung, Nicholas (22 FEB 1837 - 11 JAN 1897)
Died, at his home in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., on Monday, Jan. 11th, 1897, of paralysis, Mr. Nicholas Young, aged 59 years, 10 months, 17 days.
Nicholas Young was born in St. Julian, Rhinepfalz, Bavaria, Feb. 22nd, 1837; in 1866 he came to America and remained three years or until 1869, when he returned to the old country and in the same years was united in marriage with Miss Charlotte Scheuer; he came back to America in the years 1884, and he has made the town of Hull his home ever since; in the summer of 1893 he suffered a stroke of paralysis, from which he never fully recovered; on Monday morning he suffered another shock, from the effects of which he died in two hours.
He leaves to mourn his death, a wife and five children. The funeral was held today at the German Evangelical St. John’s Church of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), of which he was a member, Rev. C. C Hartenstein will officiate and will take for the text of his sermon Job 19:21.
