Collins, Effie M. (16 DEC 1896)
Married, at the residence of the grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Collins, on Wednesday evening, Dec. 16th, 1896, Mr. William A. Wiedenhoeft and Miss Effie M. Collins, both of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., Rev. S. A. Hoffman officiating.
Mr. Wiedenhoeft is the son of John Wiedenhoeft, a prominent farmer of the town of Colby. He is an industrious and upright young man. The bride is the daughter of Willis Collins, also a prominent farmer of the town of Colby. She has grown up in our midst a quiet, cool and sensible girl who has many friends who will wish them many years of happiness and prosperity.
The ceremony was performed at the residence of the bride’s grandparents, in this city, as grandma Collins, owing to ill health, would otherwise have been unable to attend, and for the same reason, guests were limited to Relatives and the most intimate friends of the family. The ceremony was performed at 7:30 o’clock in the evening, and at 10 o’clock the happy young couple were in their own home, on the Jarn Barbian place, one-half mile north of the city on the county line road.
The Phonograph joins other friends in wishing the young couple the utmost happiness and prosperity.
