Cook, Diantha (1 MAY 1825 - 22 MAY 1900)
Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Lamont, on Tuesday, May 22nd, 1900, of peritonitis, Mrs. Diantha Cook, aged 75 years and 21 days.
Diantha Allen was born in New York, May 1st, 1825, and was first united in marriage with Furman Gault, who lost his life in the Civil War. She was then united in marriage with Ephraim Cook, who died in 1885. Last fall she came here and had since made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lamont. Of the surviving children, John Gault, Mrs. Emily Cook and Mrs. Ella Niles reside at Gobleville, Mich., and Mrs. Almira Lamont at Colby.
The remains were taken to Gobleville where the funeral will be held, the only services here being a prayer offered by Rev. E.G. Vischer, at the house.
The remains were accompanied by Mrs. Lamont and Mrs. T.H.Patterson.
