Witt, Joan Joyce (Marriage - 1952)

Now making their home in Abbotsford where the groom is employed with the Gosse Trucking Service, are Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dale Leichtnam, who were married at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dorchester by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler.

The bride is the former Miss Joan Joyce Witt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Witt, Owen, and the groom’s mother, Mrs. Cecelia Leichtnam, lives in Abbotsford, Wis.

A white nylon net accordion pleated skirt topped with a lace bodice and jacket was born by the bride for her wedding. Her headdress held her finger-tip veil and she carried a bouquet of carnations and roses centered with a lily.

The maid of honor, Miss Donna Leichtnam, Abbotsford, a sister of the groom, was attired in a gown of nylon net over satin with a bolero and she carried a arrangement of yellow and blue carnations.

A cousin of the bride, Miss Delores Hendrickson, Spencer, was bridesmaid. Her floor-length gown was fashioned of blue net over satin. She also carried a bouquet of yellow and blue carnations.

Bernard Kuenzi, Abbotsford, was best man, and Wilbur Buse, Loyal, groomsman.

Mrs. Witt viewed her daughter’s wedding in a tan crepe dress and the groom’s mother wore a navy blue dress. Each had a corsage of white and pink carnations.

A wedding supper was served at 5 o’clock in the evening at the home of the bride.

Guests from out of town at the wedding were from Milwaukee, Owen, Stanley, and Spencer.
