LaBudde, Adeline (7 DEC 1898)
Married, at the residence of the bride’s parents, Wednesday evening, Dec. 7th, 1898, by D.R. Freeman, Court Commissioner, Mr. William A. Henkel and Miss Adeline LaBudde, both of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.)
The above wedding was a very quiet affair, just the members of the two families, Misses Anna Bredemeyer and Millie Marquardt being present. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served and a pleasant evening spent, when the happy young couple repaired to the new house prepared by the groom, just across the street, where they are now pleasantly and sensibly keeping house.
The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Henkel and is one of the most industrious young men of the city, where he has lived from childhood and is known by every man, woman and child, and everyone who knows him is a friend.
The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. LaBudde, and while she has only resided here a short time, yet, by her modest and ladylike manners has won the respect of everyone who has made her acquaintance. They both can count every acquaintances a friend, and no couple ever launched their craft upon the matrimonial sea, followed by stronger wishes from their friends, for future happiness and prosperity, than Will and Lena.
