Tesmer, Amelia (19 FEB 1899)
Married, at the residence of the officiating clergyman, in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., on Sunday, Feb. 19th, 1898, by Geo. F. Dailey, Esq., Mr. Elwood Jones of Greenbush, Sheboygan Co., and Miss Amelia Tesmer of the town of Colby.
Mrs. Jones is a scion of one of the first families of Greenbush, his mother, whose maiden name was Diedrich, being a lineal descendant of the renowned Diedrich Knickerbocker, he is a cousin of Wm. Sieber, high constable of the town of Colby.
Miss Tesmer is one of Colby’s fairest daughters and a product of its soil, having been born in the palatial log mansion where the junior of the Phonograph, lighted the famous lantern, nearly twenty years ago, that led him astray while looking for the straight and narrow path. The wedding festivities were cut short, as the groom had to hrry home and milk the cows, for he had taken a solemn oath that hereafter his bride should never soil her white hands in extracting the lacteal fluid from the gentle bovine, and said oath is duly recorded in the certificate that join two happy soul together for life.
