INVESTIGATED CLARK COUNTY LANDS
E.P.Romano, M. Montrogiovani and W.P. Christani of Chicago were here on a mission Sunday that may be the means of turning a tide of immigrants to Clark county. The three gentlemen are members of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Christani represented the Italian consul in Chicago. The gentlemen came to look over Clark county and to report to the consul, so that their countrymen who are looking for farms have access to ready advice. The gentlemen were much taken with the county and expressed themselves as surprised that there were such wonderful opportunities so close at hand, and will give a highly favorable report. Many Italians who are already residents of this country, and others who are coming into the country, are looking for farms, and the Italian consul desires information for their benefit. This is a very desirable class of settlers, for the Italian nationality already represented here are industrious and hard-working citizens. Neillsville Times
