Alice Mary (nee Reuter) Garlach, 88, formerly of Hebron, Ind., died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at Community Parkview Care Center, Elwood, Ind.. Cremation was chosen for disposition, and burial will be at a later date.

Alice Mary Reuter was born on May 3, 1917, in Manitowoc, to Fred and Barbara (nee Thomas) Reuter. She married Leroy Garlach on Feb. 4, 1935. He died on May 1, 1989. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Knightstown, Ind.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Moore, Knightstown, Ind., and MariIynn Glenn, Lake Station, Ind.; three sons, Byron Garlach, Greenwood, Marshall Garlach, Crown Point, Ind., and Jerrone Garlach, Portage, Ind.; two sisters, Barbara Simmons, Fort Myers, Fla., and Violet Combe, Fort Myers, Fla.; three brothers, Arthur Rueter, Fort Myers, Fla., Gene Reuter, Fort Myers, Fla., and Edward Reuter, Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; two brothers, Donald and Lewis Reuter; and one sister, Helen.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Ind., assisted the family with arrangements.
