Scheel, William B. (25 Dec. 1869 - 1958)

Owen - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for William B. Scheel, 88, who died Friday of a heart attack at the Havenet Nursing Home. Burial will be made in Loyal Cemetery.

Mr. Scheel was born Dec. 25, 1869, in Ruen, Germany, and came to Wisconsin at the age of six. He spent most of his life in Clark County’s town of Green Grove, and was married to Martha Katterman, who preceded him in death in 1930.

He is survived by five sons, Frank Scheel, Murfressboro, Tenn.; Henry Scheel, Owen; Roland Scheel, Orangeville, Ohio; Ralph Scheel, Spencer; Lawrence Scheel, Zion, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Louis (Lula) Hardrath, Mrs. William (Sophia) Schulhauser, Mrs. Raymond (Minnie) Lap, Mrs. Jerome (Etla) Van Dreel; 35 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Louis and Herman, preceded him in death.
