Schultz, Ernest F. (8 Aug. 1885 - 1957)

Colby - Ernest F. Schultz, 73, died Tuesday evening in St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield after an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev. Victor Grosshuesch officiating. Burial will be made in Colby Cemetery.

The body is reposing at the Lulloff Funeral Home.

Mr. Schultz was born in Colby Aug. 8, 1885, and married there Dec. 21, 1917, to Selma Witte, who died April 9, 1923. On Nov. 1, 1925, he was married at Winona, Minn., to Mrs. Johanna Block, who survives him.

He farmed near Colby until 1944, when he moved to the town of Colby.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Arthur Schultz and Ervin Schultz, both of Colby; two step-sons, Norbert Block, LaMoure, N. D., Harold Block, Colby; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Conrad Dettman, Colby.

One son died in infancy.
