Hake, Ernastine (28 Aug. 1870 - 1961)

Colby - Mrs. Ernestine Hake, 91, route 1, Curtiss, died at 5 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Orangeville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Lulloff Funeral Home where the body will repose from ??? evening until the time of burial. The Rev. John T. Reed will officiate and burial will be made in the Colby Cemetery.

The former Ernastine Gosse was born Aug. 28, 1870 in the town of Mosel near Sheboygan, and was married Jan. 4, 1891 at Sheboygan to Adolph Hake. In 1902 the couple moved to the town of Green Grove, Clark County, where she had resided since.

Surviving are one son, Walter, Curtiss; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Scheel, Orangeville, Ohio, and Mrs. Edith Smith, Guttenberg, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two children, four brothers and six sisters.
