Taylor, Nancy Ann (Marriage - 1960)
Nuptial vows were repeated by Nancy Ann Taylor and Robert Gordon Vine at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Cargill Methodist Church. The Rev. Arnold Nielson read the ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Taylor, 908 Milton Ave., and Mr. Vine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh D. Vine, Prairie Road.
The bride selected a gown of chantilly lace and net over satin. Lace formed the petal motif on the neckline, sleeves and bodice. A lace panel front and back, detailed the full net skirt which fell to a brush train. A crown of pearl orange blossom held her illusion veil. She carried white carnations and yellow rosebuds.
As her sister’s honor attendant Mrs. Clifford Erickson, Beloit, was attired in a white ballerina length frock. Mint green and yellow were embroidered on the ruffled skirt. A yellow cummerbund encircled the waistline. She wore a mint green headpiece with veil and carried white carnation and green tinted daisies.
Mrs. Alfred Skelly, bridesmaid, was seen in a yellow ballerina dress with matching headpiece. Her flowers were white carnations and yellow daisies.
Vickie Lynn Erickson, Beloit, was flower girl for her aunt.
Mark Campbell was best man; Charles Thiel, the bridegroom’s brother-in-law, groomsman; Melvin Peck and Clifford Erickson ushsers.
Homer Albright sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer." Mrs. Charles Zinsmaster was organist.
The reception for 150 was held in the church parlor. The bride’s cousin Mrs. Melvin Peck made the wedding cake.
Mrs. Vine, Janesville High School graduate, was formerly employed at Parker Pen Co. Her husband is field manager for Cowel Advertising Co., of Racine.
