Marvin, William Seward (11 March 1900 - 1963)

Greenwood - Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Grace Methodist Church for William Seward Marvin, who died Saturday evening. The Rev. David Kellin officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ludwig Hribar, Jake Barr, Carl Weber, Ignatz Sladish, Peter Korntved and John Susa Sr.

Mrs. Wayne Voss accompanied by Mrs. Daniel Olson sang "In The Sweet Bye And Bye," and "Abide With Me."

Greenwood - William Seward Marvin, 63, Greenwood, died of a heart attack Saturday morning at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Methodist Church in Greenwood. The Rev. David Kellin will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home from this evening until 11 a.m. Tuesday, and then at the church.

Mr. Marvin was born March 11, 1900 in Greenwood, and had lived here his entire life. His marriage to Esther Vine Marvin took place July 14, 1945. They lived on a farm 2 ½ miles southwest of here until two months ago, when they purchased a home in Greenwood and moved to the city.

Mr. Marvin is survived by his wife; two sons, Kenneth Marvin, Greenwood; and Alfred Marvin, Evansville; two sisters, Mrs. Archie (Ruth) Cleveland, Racine; and Mrs. Fred (Laura) Funk, Caledonia; two brothers, Harry Marvin, Greenwood; and Henry Marvin, Granton.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
