Luchterhand, Alma (1905 - 22 March 1968)

Colby - Alma Luchterhand, 62, a native of the Colby area, died of cancer Friday, March 22, at the Northwest Community Hospital in Chicago. She had been in ill health for many years. It was her wish that her body be give to an Illinois Medical college to help in the fight against cancer. Later, the cremated remains will be buried at the family plot in the Colby Cemetery.

Memorial rites will be held at the Polnaszek Funeral Home in Abbotsford at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31. Condolences may be expressed through donations to the American Cancer Society.

Her husband was a casualty in World War II.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Grover, Minneapolis; and three brothers, Ernest, Colby; Emil, Unity; and Elmer, Scarsdale, N. Y.
