Szymczak, Paul (29 June 1888 - 1968)

Withee - Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home at Owen for Paul Szymczak, 80, Wausau, a former Withee resident, who died at a Wausau Hospital Monday. Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Szymczak was born in Poland June 29, 1888. He was married at Withee July 21, 1937, to Caroline Pencik Bytas, who survives him. The couple farmed at Withee until 1946, when they moved to Wausau where Mr. Szymczak was employed as a landscaper.

Other survivors include four stepsons, Lester and Harry Bytas, Chicago; Otto Bytas, Appleton; Capt. Clarence Bytas, USMC, California; there daughters, Mrs. John Garkos, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Frank Kresesch, Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mrs. June McCarthy, Mudeson, Wis.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
