Meyers, Herbert H. (12 Oct. 1891 - 1966)

Colby - Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the First United Church of Christ here for Herbert H. Meyers, 74, route 2, Colby, who died at 10 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated, and burial was made in the Green Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Meyers was born Oct. 12, 1891, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County. His marriage to Helen Schoelzel took place Oct. 6, 1915, at Green Grove. He had lived on a farm in this area his entire life.

Mr. Meyers had been clerk of a rural school board.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Herbert Jr., route 1, Curtiss; four sisters, Mrs. Richard (Mayme) Lampe, Pipestone, Minn.; Mrs. Otto (Clara) Schulte, Colby; Mrs. George (Stella) Gebhardt, Milwaukee; and Mrs. John (Della) Salter, Wisconsin Rapids; and six grandchildren.

Five sisters preceded him in death.
