Kaleta, Pete (18 July 1898 - 1969)
Withee - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hoeper-Kraut Funeral Home at Owen for Pete Kaleta, 79, of Route 2, Withee, who died Thursday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield following a lingering illness.
The Rev. H. Jalecki, Milwaukee, will officiate and burial will be made in the Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the services.
Mr. Kaleta was born July 18, 1898 in Poland, and came to the United States in 1933. He settled in Chicago, Ill., and came to Withee about 1940 to work as a farm hand. During the war he worked in Chciago, and in 1957 he returned to the Withee area to continue farm work.
Survivors include a brother, Walter, a half-brother, John Kaleta, and a half-sister, Mrs. Bernice Kowalski, all of Harvey, Ill.
