Callahan, Stephen (23 NOV 1845 - 12 AUG 1903)

After months of illness, Stephen Callahan passed away at his home in this city last night, at the age of 58 years.

He was born in Rochester, N.Y., on Nov. 23, 1845. Later on the family moved to Wisconsin. Mr. Callahan became a resident of Alma in 1872. In 1881 he united in marriage with Miss Mary Phillipi.

In 1882 Mr. Callahan located in this city and it remained his home up to the time of his death.

Last winter he became ill and gradually weakened until the end came. Deceased is survived by his widow and two children, a son, Eugene C. and a daughter, Elvira C. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 o’clock a.m., at St. Felix Church.
