Haslbeck, Joseph (28 JAN 1847 - 22 NOV 1903)

Joseph Haslbeck died at his home, Sunday evening Nov. 22nd, 1903 from dropsy. He was in the 57th year of his age.

Deceased was born in Neimelkofen, Bavaria, Jan. 28th, 1847, and was married to Miss Mary Kellerer, Nov. 24th, 1875; the marriage was blessed with nine children, eight of whom are living and with the widow to mourn the loss of a husband and father.

Mr. Haslbeck and family came direct from Bavaria to Colby, Wis., in the spring of 1889, and settled in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., where he ran a brick yard until a little over a year ago, when he sold the yard to Geo. Sterzinger, Jr., and built a large hall and saloon at the corner of Division St. and the Wausau Road, which he was stilling running at the time of his death.

The funeral was held from St. Kilian’s Church, conducted by Rev. Wm. Reding, Wednesday forenoon.
