Boynton, Cecil (10 FEB 1880 - 22 NOV 1904)
The many friends of Cecil Boynton were greatly shocked Tuesday evening when the report went forth that he was dead. Like a lightning flash, or a thunder bolt, about 10:30 Tuesday evening while Cecil was sitting at a table with three of his companions reading the daily papers, his heart suddenly stopped its beating, and all that was mortal of the beloved young man passed beyond. One gasp for breath was all the warning his friends had of his transition from life to death. Dr. A.B. Jenson was immediately called, but it was too late as his life was extinct.
Cecil Orlando Boynton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Boynton, was born at Hixton, Jackson Co., Wis., Feb. 10th, 1880. He has been afflicted many years with a heart trouble which was the direct cause of his death.
The past year he has been traveling for John Sexton and Co. of Chicago, his health preventing him from carrying out his college work. The latter part of July he came home for a few weeks, went to St. Louis, then went west again the 1st of September. Two weeks ago he came home unable to work but soon grew better. He felt better Tuesday than any day since he returned home.
The funeral will be held from the M.S. Church tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, Rev. W.J. James officiating.
