Kalsow, Raymond L. (27 Jan. 1909 - 29 May 1989)

Raymond L Kalsow, age 80, passed away Monday morning, May 29, 1989. He had been in failing health for the past two months.

He was born in the Town of Weston, Clark County, on January 27, 1090, to Theodore and Ida (Scheel) Kalsow. After his education at Globe school, he farmed with his parents until his marriage to Genevieve Oldham on August 9, 1939. They continued to farm in the Town of Weston until 1953, when they moved to Milwaukee where he was employed for 11 years. In 1964 they returned to the Town f Weston where he lived the rest of his life.

Surviving is his wife; a stepson, Wilbur Hagen of Neillsville; three sisters, Velma Mech of Neillsville, Mrs. Herbert (Esther) Sternitzky, Granton and Mrs. John (Clara) Haag of LaCrosse; two brothers, Martin Kalsow and Hans Kalsow both of Neillsville; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Visitation for Raymond will be Wednesday evening, May 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning, June 1 until 11 a.m. at Gesche Funeral Home, and then at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, one hour prior to the 1:30 p.m. services on June 1. Rev. Paul N Reede will officiate. Karen Hoppa will provide musical accompaniment for congregational singing. Interment is in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John and Dale Hagen, Tom Gorst, Donald and Robert Kalsow and Ernest Sternitzky.
